Hello Friends of Peaberry,

Peaberry has been in a rapid state of growth since opening in 2019 even defying the effects of the pandemic on small businesses. Around this time last year, we finished building out a dedicated location for production in order to support the demand of our Kiestwood Iced Coffee. While the iced coffee has become a much larger part of our business, we continue to intentionally focus on the Peaberry storefront, releasing new seasonal specialty drinks and more recently offer our proprietary brand of in-house syrups, burritos, and soon our very own oat milk. We’re excited to keep pursuing great coffee, service, and community for our customers.

In the first few months of 2023 we have been presented with several great opportunities. Updated October 3, 2023.

We have opened our second location in Downtown Elmwood!
We have been selected to be a vendor with Meow Wolf: Immersive Art Experiences opening in Grapevine Mills. This immersive art experience is world renowned and expects thousands of visitors through their cafe. This will be our largest wholesale account to date.
We will be partnering with one of Dallas’ premiere taqueria, Chilangos Tacos, to offer Peaberry specialty drinks at their new proof of concept Churrería and Taco Shop outside of Downtown. Now open!
Mountain View College has recently presented us the opportunity to open a coffee shop on their campus. We are now a registered vendor with all Dallas Colleges and moving forward on the process of opening a coffee concept.
We have taken on several new wholesale accounts that will expand us into Deep Ellum, the Design District, more of Oak Cliff, North Dallas, and even Fort Worth!
We purchased a dedicated delivery truck to keep our partners stocked.

Many of these opportunities require investment in materials such as ordering a surplus of cans and all of the accompanying materials over a month in advance. We are expecting to transition a part time employee to a full time position or hiring a full time employee to meet the demand of our Kiestwood Iced Coffee. We pride ourselves on offering living wages to our employees and currently have 7 full-time employees, 4 part-time employees, and 1 seasonal employee. Within the last two years we have only lost one employee due to scheduling conflicts but added 1 full-time position and 2 part-time positions. We currently have several employees entering their 3rd to 4th year with Peaberry later this year.

The viability of these opportunities comes down to having the capital to pursue them. We would like to partner with family and friends in asking for loans in increments of $5,000. These loans will be repaid in installments over 48 or 60 months at a simple interest rate of 12% on the total loan amount. All loans would be drawn up on a promissory note that would be signed by both parties, a witness, notarized, and legally binding. We have gone the bank route before but prefer close family and friends to benefit from the interest. This way, those who support Peaberry Coffee and its mission have another avenue by which to benefit. Regardless of your decision, we thank you for your ongoing support.
